Making bus stops fun

I was interested to read about the bus stop advert that used face recognition to only show an ad to women not men. This is clever stuff, and it made me wish more bus stop ads could be interactive.

Waiting for buses is boring. I would love to see bus ads with touch screen technology so I could read advertorials or play branded games while I waited for my bus.

Even giving me the choice of ads I could look at would be good. I get so bored at bus stops that I would happily look at ads for cornflakes and browse an entire cereal range if I had this option.  It’s human nature to enjoy making easy choices, so what if you were offered an option of seeing an ad for cornflakes or seeing one for perfume? I would have instant  interest in the advertising if  I could express my preference for the cornflakes. If I saw a rotating ad with both perfume and cornflakes I doubt I’d have much interest in either.

So please advertisers can you entertain me at the bus stop? I might even buy your stuff if you sell it to me this way. I don’t like corn flakes much at all, but if you got me to read about your new improved Munchy Bran I might get off the bus at the supermarket and you’ve got yourselves a sale.
